The career of Reverend Shawn Amos started as an executive producer of artists like Quincy Jones Later on he collaborated with artists like Ray Parker Jr, Solomon Burke and Mark Olson It was not until he read Peter Guralnick’s Feel Like Going Home trilogy that he felt the need to discover that kind of music and travel to the places that were mentioned in those books, no matter how distant they were, to in this way, see the places where the blues was born and grew up After his last clearly blues oriented albums, Shawn Amos now shows his songwriter facet, as well as expressing with his voice a range of fully mixed feelings To do so he has gathered a group of good friends he has called The Brotherhood with Ben Peeler on lap steel, pedal steel, dobro and mandolin, Matt Hubbard on piano, hammond and wurlitzer and the voices of Piper Amos, Sharlotte Gibson and Kenya Hathaway They are joined by a group of guests who interact in a very personal way and contribute to create a relaxed, attractive and magical atmosphere where listeners will gradually go into, thanks to the ten varied songs that round up this recording
