Many blues bands with complete different styles can nowadays be found in Europe There was one in Belgium that unfortunately is not yet active, called The Regulators However we want people to become aware of two cds they published some years ago The story began in 1996 and the following year they published their first work called Consider it done that appeared in Canada and USA with a relative success This cd and the following one, that was done a year later, keep the same musical path, that is to say, a mixture of jump, blues and swing, following the steps of some of their favourite musicians such as Kim Wilson, Rod Piazza or Little Charlie & The Nightcats To be noticed all tunes in both cds are singer and harmonica Serge Rogiest’s own compositions who also has written a very interesting lyrics Musically speaking both albums follow a very dinamic coherent line with a very coordinated structured patterns I particularly prefer D-Day, because it has a higher quality but in fact both could have had a better final production In short two cds that will help you to have a vision of some Belgian blues
