Joyful, elegant, irrepressible, communicative, The R&B Bombers deserve all these adjectives and their musical qualities really prove it Forties, fifties and sixties blues, swing & rhythm & blues, are the principal traces you will find in the music of this great band that includes Joe Wilson as main voice (fantastic crooner and vocalist, pay attention to Someday song) and occasional harmonica player in some tunes, Larry Nass on guitar, Ken Stange on keyboards, Tom Lacker on drums, Steve Nelson on bass and a powerful horn section with Craig Thomas tenor, alt sax and main vocals on a couple of songs, Craig Woods on trombone, Dave Tolegian on baritone and tenor sax and Jim Hochanadel on tenor sax and main vocals in one song, plus harmonica player Mitch Kashmar as a special guest musician All them get a powerful, bright suggestive sound full of colourful nuances along the fourteen songs included on the cd It is a well balanced track selection from different artists like Nappy Brown (listen to the effective version of Don’t Be Angry), BB King (superb Get Out Here) or the faultless Everytime I Hear That Mellow Saxophone (signed by Montrell, Blackwell & Marascalo, who also signed the song Rip It Up Elvis sung in the fifties) The horn and saxos performing in the last mentioned song Everytime I Hear That Mellow Saxophone is really amazing, like are the rest of included songs
