The Ragtime Rumours are a quite difficult to classify band because you will find in the music they perform traces of as varied genres as vintage blues, offbeat rock and roll, gypsy jazz, minstrel shows, storytelling music and, of course, vaudeville cabaret, also with influences ranging from Robert Johnson to Tom Waits, Pokey LaFarge or Django Reinhardt After winning the European Blues Challenge in 2018 in Hell (Norway) and the success of his previous work Rag ‘N Roll, this album follows the same way of the previous one, but with a more mature and daring performance, confirming that The Ragtime Rumours are an ever-evolving group that cleverly explore all the possibilities of the just mentioned styles and genres Eleven own compositions plus a version of Jack Lawrence’s 1940 hit Yes, My Darling Daughter is what perform in this really original album Thimo Gijezen on electric guitar gypsy guitar, accordion, piano, harmonica and vocals, Tom Janssen on lead vocals, acoustic and electric guitars, banjo and harmonica, Sjaak Korsten on drums, percussion and vocals and Nicki Van Der Schuren on bass, baritone sax, flute and vocals, with the complicity of several guest musicians
