The Ragged Roses is a band which combine the spirit of fifties rock ‘n’ roll with the music linked to the most popular roots of the American tradition, always giving to their songs an incredible flavor and a very actual display, where you immediately discover their influences come from artists like Wanda Jackson, Etta James, Howlin’ Wolf, Dick Dale, Nick Curran or The Cramps.

Led by the explosive, brave and always unpredictable Katrien Van Proeyen, the rest of the musicians are veterans of the Belgian scene and include Bart Rico Ulens on guitar, Sebi Lee on bass, piano, sax and vocals and Jimmy Van Iersel on drums.

The recording they now present gathers eleven own compositions plus the version of “Runaway” coming from Del Shannon.
