If there is a band which may prove that all members are first-class musicians, undoubtedly it is The Proven Ones, which includes Brian Templeton on vocals and harmonica, Kid Ramos on guitar, Anthony Geraci on keyboards, Willie J Campbell on bass and Jimi Bott on drums Each one could lead its own band, as well as play blues with an incredible feeling and technique In this case they have joined to form a group which can show listeners that, besides first class blues players, they are also skilled to walk along other musical paths with the same mastery and reliability than when they play blues So here they present a repertoire of rock, soul, country, some Latin influences, a little bit of pop and even some garage drops This is a totally exciting cocktail The Proven Ones bring us in this recording It has been produced and mixed by Jimi Bott in collaboration with well-known guitarist Mike Zito and includes a total of twelve songs coming from each band member A special mention to Ruthie Foster’s vocal contribution in the song Who My Soul Loves and Jimi Bott’s impressive song She’ll Never Know based on a poem her sister wrote to her daughter she was not able to raise, due to her addictions and mental illness that led her to die in 2008 This is a good work by these big blues names
