This band’s name might not be familiar to some people but, if one sees the musicians who form it, Brian Templeton on vocals, Kid Ramos on guitar, Anthony Geraci on piano and organ, Willie J Campbell on bass, Jimi Bott on drums and percussion and a powerful high quality horn section with Joe McCarthy on trumpet, Renato Coranto on tenor sax, Robert Crowell on baritone sax and Chris Mercer on tenor sax in a song, then it will surely call the attention of most blues followers and will make them to carefully listen to it All these musicians can be found in The Proven Ones, a powerful, aggressive band, with an extreme punch and varied nuances, with no superfluous affectations and a precise well worked sound, where nothing is left to chance or improvisation, except may be some solos All songs gather very dynamic colourful arrangements, which become an essential part in the fantastic musical conception the band displays You will find ten excellent songs, some of them coming from the band musicians, together with dark versions by Dave Bartholomew, Peter Green or Clarence Carter which, in their hands, get a new life In short words, a joyful pleasant album!
