Norman Jackson grew up in Detroit, Michigan and the south side of Chicago, where he learned to passionately feel blues and soul music, thanks to all those legendary names of the genre who were able to build up an unheard language in the new structures that shook the foundations of the traditional black music that were known till that moment Together with the young sax player Rick Shortt he discovered when he was only twelve years old, they lead this band they ironically call ‘the baddest soul band in the land’ Danny Williams on bass and Jackson’s nephew known as The Boogieman on drums form a greasy rhythm section on a band which consider themselves as a real family and whose main goals are to communicate people the genuine blues and rhythm & blues, give fun and make us forget the day-to-day problems Named in third position at the International Blues Challenge of year 2017, with this last album they invite us to an exciting journey along eleven high quality songs, spiced with some funny lyrics and a stage presence that will not leave anyone indifferent Do you like to join this journey? I have just done it
