Formed about ten years ago in Vancouver, The Mojo Stars have now become very popular in that town local scene, thanks to their musical roots firmly based in the most conventional blues and soul they cleverly combine with very genuine rock, which gives substance and quality enough to not disappoint any listener who comes to enjoy the music they play Originally the band was formed by Randy Clarke as leader and singer, guitar player Mark Rankin, bass player Lee Oliphant and drummer Loren Etkin Now, after some time of silence where all them have matured their ideas, they come back with more strength, self confidence and enthusiasm than ever, together with two new members who have joined the band, Kenny Boychuck on Hammond B-3 and Tom Gould on sax With this solid line-up The Mojo Stars bring us their new work with eleven songs, six recorded live You will find in each track all the brightness, coolness and essence of their music, they build up over powerful guitar riffs, Stax grooves and excellent soulful vocals and sax solos, that contribute to round up a more than recommendable recording for every music lover
