Since the year 2002 The Mighty Orq has player all over USA either solo or with his own band However, it has not been until he was finalist at the International Blues Challenge that he has reached a wider prestige and recognition by different audiences This has led him to publish his debut album, where he shows all his faces and skills by selecting different styles he feels comfortable with, from the most hardened frantic rock-blues one can imagine to his more intimate facet where he let us see all his poetical sensibility or even songs especially written to be played with a cigar-box-guitar, without forgetting blues and gospel styles The Mighty Orq deeply loves and respects Besides good singer and guitar player, he reveals himself as a remarkable composer along a handful of songs where he is backed by his usual band with Jimmy Rose on drums, percussion and mandolin, Barry Seelen on organ, piano and accordion and Terry Dry on bass Obviously The Mighty Orq sings and plays all acoustic, electric, resonator and cigar box guitars This is an album especially devoted to open minds and daring palates
