Although The Marshals are a French band from a small village called Moulins in Allier region, if you listen to their music, you would say they come from the arid and dusty Texas fields or USA southern landscapes, where men forge themselves by the blows of a hard life marked by the strong weather conditions of country life.

The Marshalls add all these elements to their music, developing a repertoire that could be framed by North Mississippi Hill County blues but also by straightforward blues rock, with rough, rocky, raw songs displayed with passion by this trio which includes Thomas Duchézeau on drums and percussion, Laurent Siguret on harmonica and Julien Robalo on guitar and vocals.

Nine songs give shape to a very personal job, that tell us about witchcraft, night black birds, darkness, gloomy landscapes and old abandoned houses, but also about the bright light that always comes after the darkness, a new dawn or the awakening of life, all performed with an undeniable honesty by these French musicians who undoubtedly exceed the established rules to present a bunch of compositions that come from their hearts with the only aim to wrap listeners and drive them to those musical landscapes they draw in every song they play.
