Led by singer Cathy Lemons and guitar and harmonica player Phil Berkowitz, The Lucky Losers come from San Francisco to present their new album “Standin’ Pat” recorded for VizzTone Records under the clever direction of Richard Rosenblatt.

The recording gathers eleven own songs that reflect the challenges and disappointments of today’s American society, which become a unique and personal mixture of styles like blues, retro soul, R&B and Americana music, all performed with a lot of groove and passion, as well as a sensual funny delicacy, spiced with a dancing rhythm, thanks to the distinctive Cathy’s voice, which is always perfectly supported by all the musicians who participate on it.

The album has been recorded and produced at Greaseland Studios. The musicians’ line-up includes Cathy Lemons on vocals, Phil Berkowitz on harmonica -he plays with a remarkable tone-, and vocals, Ian Lamson on guitar, Chris Burns on keyboards, Endre Tarczy on bass and Jon Otis on drums. Along with them there should be mentioned the valuable collaboration of Kid Andersen on guitar in all tracks, banjo on a song and organ on a couple of cuts, besides taking care of the whole production, together with a fantastic horn section with Terry Hanck and Michael Peloquin on tenor sax, Mike Rinta on trombone and Brian Catania on trumpet.
