Led by Dallas singer Cathy Lemons and New Jersey harmonica player Phil Berkowitz, The Lucky Losers is a six musicians’ band which develop styles like blues, soul, rock, gospel or Americana music, with good doses of professionalism and knowledge, thanks to the chemistry, elegance and quality all the members of this magnificent band treasure.

Since the band was formed in 2014, its popularity has not stopped growing, which has made them receive numerous recognitions like, for example, five nominations for The Independent Blues Awards, among other outstanding awards.

The album drives us to 60’s and early 70’s golden age, where soul, blues, rhythm & blues and rock combined with an unusual unforgettable strength, along eleven well-structured songs, some of them own compositions, that talk about issues like the resilience of women who have suffered abuse, compassion, love, or faith in a better world.

It should also be mentioned the bright faultless songs’ arrangements, as well as Kid Andersen’s final production, which make as a result a high-quality recording that will totally satisfy most listeners, making them love and enjoy each of the eleven fantastic songs of this more than interesting album.

Cathy Lemons’ voice is superb and full of nuances, while Phil Berkowitz’s harmonica sounds elegant and just right. The rest of the band musicians are Chris Burns on keyboards, Simon Govan Smith on guitar, Edgar San Gabriel on bass and Jon Otis on drums and percussion. For the recording they have included some first-class guests like Kid Andersen on guitar, bass and keyboards, Danny Caron on guitar, Endre Tarczy on bass, Paul Revelli on drums and a well-oiled horn section with Doug James on tenor sax, Mike Rinta on trombone and John Halbieb on trumpet.
