Here comes a Barcelona blues band which faithfully reproduces the most genuine real “low down” sound, not only coming from Chicago but also from Louisiana and West Coast blues. The band name is The Low Down Groovers and you will find in its line-up blues passionate good musicians like David “Chef Dave” Sánchez on harmonica and vocals, Sergi Escriu on guitar, Freddy Muñoz on bass and Oscar Hita on drums.

The blues has no secrets for them, something that becomes evident in this album which was recorded live from the RAI Library on January 15^th. 2022, including thirteen songs, all of them excellent versions coming from artists like Sam Myers, Gary Primich, Little Walter, Mark Hummel, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Billy Boy Arnold, Lonesome Sundown, Chris Ruest, William Clarke, Sonny Boy Williamson II, Slim Harpo and Little Charlie & The Nightcats.

A real showcase of good blues songs, all performed with an amazing determination, professionalism, good taste and much feeling by this excellent band we can expect great things in the near future, as their knowledge of the blues is undeniable. Get a cd copy and you will see it for yourself.
