After three years of intense work, coordinating schedules and organizing every detail, here comes The Love Light Orchestra, a band formed by nine talented musicians well recognized in Memphis blues scene, which goal is to recreate the sound of those mid-twentieth century orchestras like those of B.B. King, Bobby “Blue” Bland, Junior Parker or Big Joe Turner ones.

This is his first studio album and includes nine own compositions and a cover coming from Lowell Fulson, “Three O’Clock Blues”, that let us appreciate the sophistication of those orchestras led by great crooners, shouters and entertainers, perfectly reproduced by all the musicians and an excellent John Németh fronting the orchestra. Besides the nine band members, the album also includes four guests. This superb and vibrant release features John Németh on vocals, Joe Restivo on guitar, Gerald Stephens piano, Tim Goodwin double bass, Earl Lowe drums, Marc Franklin trumpet and arrangements, Scott Thompson trumpet, Jason Yasinsky trombone and Art Edmaiston tenor sax, plus the collaborations of Al Gamble on piano, Matthew Wilson on electric bass, Paul McKinney on trumpet and Kirk Smothers on baritone and alto sax.

Although at first sight it may seem the band is a tribute to nostalgia, nothing further from the reality, as they sound totally contemporary and actual, which will make listeners enjoy a formidable album in every aspect, from the musicians’ performing to the final production, repertoire, sound and arrangements.
