Guitar player and songwriter Wally B Ford became well known performing in clubs and venues in Memphis In 1995 he founded The Lizzard Kings and they did various tours and recorded their first album Due to his problems with his bipolar disorder and drugs abuse he retired to rural West Tennessee area where, for some years, he devoted himself to compose and play some solo shows Back in Memphis, Wally reorganized his band including Charles Ponder as a singer and front man, which allowed him to focus in his guitar and composing work They had a successful participation at 2019 International Blues Challenge, which confirmed their new expectations and opened new doors to them This album proves the upward line they have just started with Wally and Charles as band leaders Eleven impressive songs that communicate a good dose of strength and vigor, not only in the more rocky compositions but also in ballads and, of course, the blues the group performs with passion, commitment and reliability Besides his Wally B Ford’s band musicians, the album also features a handful of good performers coming from Memphis music scene
