After their last work Testify released in 2012, now and after a long period of silence of about six years, MC Records presents The Lee Boys’ new album They are a sextet led with really clever ideas by Lee brothers The album was recorded live during three different shows the group performed in Virginia, Florida and North Caroline The cd becomes an explosive strong mixture of soul, funk, blues and rhythm and blues, much in accordance with the times we are living, due to the way they develop not only the repertoire but also the composition and final production, which always create a wrapping sound, thanks to very contemporary eclectic arrangements The recording is an mixture of styles where guitar and voice have an outstanding role in the band musical speech Alvin Lee on guitar and backing vocals, Derrick Lee and Keith Lee alternating in main vocals, Chis Johnson on pedal steel, Alvin Cordy Jr on bass and vocals too, Earl Walker on drums, plus the collaboration of Rick Lollar on guitar in two songs and Isaac Corbett on harmonica in one track, round up a rewarding appetizing album that will certainly please all those lovers of the most burning black music
