Thanks to the valuable work of Michael Limnios, a tireless fighter to popularize blues in Greece, here is the new work of the Lazytrains, a band formed by four musicians who, with this album, introduce themselves to the European audience.

Although they have some blues influences, the band tastefully and easily moves along neo-soul, ballads and folk, something that has helped them to get their popularity grow in Greece and perform countless shows all over their country. The album only includes eight own compositions but they are enough to discover this original band formed by Maria Ioannidou on vocals, Petros Koutroubis on guitars, mandolin and keyboards, Laftaris Katsas on bass and Eleni Fiseki on drums. The recording also features some guest musicians like Dionysis Kokolis on trumpet in one song, Nikiforos Ioannidis on piano and Hammond in two tracks, Nikos Lamprov on washboard and Orestis Tsikouris on harmonica, each one in one cut.

The band has been selected to represent Greece at the European Blues Challenge that, if the pandemic allows it, will be held this year in Malmö, Sweden, during the first weekend of June.

This is album that, although it is not strictly blues, will allow listeners to discover the elegance and good work of The Lazytrains.
