A great rock-blues band with an excellent singer and harmonica player called Pete McMahon They sound powerful, very well teamed and the selection of tunes was carefully done, which gives as a result about seventy minutes of good music on the sixteen songs included on the cd The Kingsnakes sound cool and look very well matched musicians, which becomes evident on this cd, that was recorded live more than fifteen years ago at the Copperfields club in Syracuse, NY You will find some Pete McMahon own compositions, together with rather unknown covers of musicians like Nick Gravenites or Jimmy McCracklin, together with standard blues versions like Muddy Waters’ Caldonia or Got My Mojo Workin’ or Jerry McCain’s She’s Tough or even hits like Fats Domino’s Blue Monday A bright rolling cd with a powerful band who communicate a terrific energy along the whole recording It is now one of my favourite cds I am most listening to
