The Jimmys is a charismatic band led by a likeable clever musician with a great natural talent I’m referring to singer, songwriter and keyboard player Jimmy Voegeli, a fellow you will not forget as soon as you have your eyes on him The album features eleven own songs with influences of raw Chicago blues as well as some touches of New Orleans funk, which makes an explosive mixture But there are also many other things you will discover while you listen to the cd, which give strength and deep emotion to his music The band includes eight musicians slogged away in more than a thousand stories, which make them sound really exciting, totally irresistible and, together with a faultless horn arrangements, bring tons of swing to every song they play The Jimmys’ music is superb to dance and have fun, so if you have not seen them live, I can only recommend you not to miss them if someday they come to your town It would be your own fault if you do not go to see them live and you will regret it for the rest of your lives The Jimmys are Jimmy Voegeli vocals and keyboards, Mauro Magellan drums and percussion, John Wartenweiler bass and double bass, Ken ‘Birddog’ Olufs harmonica, Dave Potter guitar and the Amateur Horn Stars with Bryan Husk baritone sax, Chad Whittinghill trumpet and flugelhorn and Peterson Ross alto sax
