The International Crossroads Project "Promise You"

The European Blues Union grants two scholarships for European students to one-week stage in Clarksdale, Mississippi, at The Pinetop Perkins Blues Foundation, where they can learn and practice with outstanding musicians like Bob Margolin, Bob Stroger, Doug McLeod, Billy Branch, Victor Wainwright, Johnny Burgin or Lisa Biales among others. They also participate in jam sessions with reputed American bluesmen at the legendary Ground Zero, as well as immerse themselves in the blues culture.

In 2022 Valentin Vasseur and Mateo Perfetti were granted by the European Blues Union. Once there they met other students of different nationalities. A good chemistry arose between these two French students and three American ones. At the end of their stage, they decided to form a group, The International Crossroads Project. They have already performed some live sets, showing that music has no borders.

Now they publish this debut album with six songs as a first approach to the performing skills of these five new values, displaying a repertoire that moves between blues and rock with some touches of soul and funk. Although they certainly have different things to polish, the album clearly shows their possibilities and the promising future they have ahead.

The band includes Alyssa Galvan (17 years old) on guitar and vocals, Valentin Vasseur (16) on guitar, Matéo Perfetti (21) on bass, Mighty Michael (14) on harmonica and Paige O’Rourke (18) on drums.
