Personally speaking I think this the best album The Holmes Brothers have done till now Brotherhood combines a little bit of different things like blues, ballads, gospel, doo-woop and many other surprises that come together in a recording that does not have any single bad note on it All songs have been carefully done, with precise good crafted juicy arrangements Vocal arrangements are superb and extremely gratifying too, the songs instrumentation is fairly displayed, without overloading them with unnecessary effects Deeply rooted into tradition, The Holmes Brothers know how to perform this kind of music in the actual twenty-first century, without becoming ridiculous, superfluous or trivial They give us a delicate tasteful performing but especially they know how to get the most benefit of the way they understand the music which never becomes out of fashion It is always a pleasure to listen to The Holmes Brothers, music because they always play with huge commitment and elegance
