    Valoración: GREAT

Fine blues with great intimist lyricism, performed by this trio (plus some guest musicians) called The Germans. The group is leaded by excellent German singer and harmonica player Marc Breitfelder, we have reviewed his solo records on the past. In this first piece of work the band gives us sixteen songs deeply based on pre-war acoustic and urban blues, with compositions from Leadbelly to Jazz Gillum, Lightnin’ Hopkins, Arthur Crudup, Sleepy John Estes, Muddy Waters or Robert Johnson. You will also find different instruments along the cd, such as piano, harmonica, double bass, dobro, acoustic guitar… An excellent delightful record enthusiastically performed by great musicians that will certainly satisfy all roots blues lovers.
