Guitar player and song writer Forrest McDonald has a long career and a wide versatile repertoire, which has allowed him to perform and record with artists like Debbie Davies, Bobby Womack, Bonnie Bramlett or Steve Perry, as well as performing at the most prestigious festivals, and releasing fifteen solo albums In Forrest’s own words, this 2020 he will be seventy years old but he feels more strong, positive and enthusiastic than ever, and this album really proves it The cd is dedicated to the memory of his brother Steve who recently passed away from cancer and the songs Blue Morning Sun and Go To The Light show his deep feelings about this sad lost The album includes nine more songs, all coming from Forrest McDonald himself, that also show a really attractive and eye-catching sound For this recording Forrest counts with two excellent singers like Andrew Black and Becky Wright and even McDonald dares to sing in a couple of cuts, something he does not often A colorful group of musicians complete the line-up, bringing good doses of beauty and brightness to an already juicy and superb album
