Dough tastefully combines in both cds piano and Hammond in both cds with a refined simplicity together with a straight powerful amazing voice. Twenty kind well done high quality songs with a rolling punching horn section which gives personality, energy and presence to a well plaited sound deeply rooted into swing, jump, boogie, Texas blues and old fifties r&b. Two enjoyable varied cds where the quality of the musicians who play in ‘At Least…’ and ‘Are You….’, shine at a very high level. An excellent final production specially done by Doug and Jim Neil, which makes me promise you will certainly enjoy both cds and you will savour them much more than you would imagine. Word of honour.
