This is the first album of The Boogie Sinners, a band coming from Greece, a country that does not have a great blues music tradition This is the reason why it is always rewarding to receive any news related to Greece blues, in this case from Athens The group was formed five years ago and since then on has become one of the leading ones among rhythm and blues bands there The four musicians are Theodore Alexiou guitar and vocals, Kostas Tenezos harmonica, Dimitris Georgopoulos bass and John Dimoulas drums The band plays own blues compositions, sung in English and primarily based on the rock school in terms of lay out, concept and resolution, they build up thanks to a solid rhythm section, where both guitar and harmonica are the main players Perhaps is this last instrumentalist the more limited one in the whole band, both by the phrasing and the sound he produces from his harmonica Of the songs included in the album I Ain’t Your Fool No More and Dream Weave have become real hits among Greek rhythm & blues fans and the first one was for four weeks among the ‘PICA’s Top 100 R&B Chart’ in Netherlands
