The Blues Rebels began their music career in 2012, after guitarist Andy Watts and harmonica player and singer Dov Hammer meet and played together at a lively jam session That particular night appeared a terrific chemistry between the two musicians and, as it could not be otherwise, they decided to form the band you will find in this album Besides playing in all Israel blues clubs and venues, they have also shared stage with Joe Louis Walker, Lucky Peterson or Bernard Allison and have opened for Johnny Winter, who was pleasantly surprised by the powerful music of the group After two years playing around, they decided to record their first album including fourteen Dov Hammer and Andy Watts original songs The whole recording was done only in three days, to capture in this way all the energy and magic they communicate in their live shows This was possible thanks to a funky and groovy rhythm section which powerfully enhances the music and solos of the two leaders The axes that fix both musicians work are bass player Amos Springer and Avi Barak on drums and percussion The blues in Israel has the real ambassadors with The Blues Rebels
