Spanish blues scene is boiling with the arrival of new interesting bands which bring diversity and a new life to the style From Toledo come The Blues Freaks, a group formed in January 2017, which break into the market with this recording that includes nine songs that move along the classic last century 30’s and 40’s Delta blues sounds, that is the music they passionately love and respectfully worship The band is formed by American musician John Duer on bass and vocals and Toledo coming Budy Garcia on guitar, slide and vocals and José Luis Sepulveda Sepul on drums To round up the album they have counted with the collaboration of excellent musicians like Amable Rodríguez on guitar, Julián Maeso on Hammond, Sergi Fece on piano, Antonio Lorente on the pedal steel or Paco Cerezo on bass Despite they are a really new group, it is praiseworthy the work they now present, where they tastefully mix blues, country and other countryside sounds, performed with honesty, enthusiasm, knowledge and a good dose of quality An easy to listen album which will drive you to the southern United States landscapes, and announces a great future for a band we expect to receive more good news soon
