Interesting rockin’ blues, hard-boogie’n’blues, swamp-pop’n’blues or even stripped-down-raw r&b cd This band builds his sound and work around band’s leader Buddy Flett slide guitar arrangements he performs with extremely good taste and technique But this does not mean he exceeds himself with slide playing, his techique could be defined as ‘economical’ The Bluebirds come from Shrevenport, in the north of Louisiana, birthplace of great blues names such as Huddle ‘Leadbelly’ Ledbetter or Kenny Wayne Shepherd who curiously did his first gig with The Bluebirds These fellows do a honest very personal original music Some experts dare to compare them with the best ZZ Top or Creedence Clearwater Revival Personally speaking I think they have been most influenced by their heart and feelings than by the clever common sense but this is another subject
