When a band keeps the same members for more than thirty years, bonds of friendship, complicity and understanding remain strong among them, something that can be immediately realized by listeners. However, this does not mean that, over the years, the band has not musically evolved.

Founded in 1989 by brothers Frederic Martello on guitar and Philippe Martello on drums, the other members are Kris Bries on vocals and harmonica, Jean-Luc Cremens on bass, Sven Smekers on rhythm guitar, Kim Vandeweyer on trumpet and Koen Desloovere on sax.

This new album shows an eclectic combination of rhythm and blues, Americana, rock and roll and roots music, displayed along ten original songs written by Frederic Martello and Kris Bries, which are a good example of the elegant variety of styles and sonorities, displayed in a modern and contemporary perspective.

The album was recorded at Fandango Studios in Belgium, except three songs that were recorded at Turtle Power Studios also in Belgium.

After celebrating in 2019 their thirtieth anniversary, The Blue Chevys follow their way, bringing good music and fun to the most diverse audiences.
