A powerful agressive blues band with a good dose of feeling led by Larry Fuzzy Knight During the seventies he also led one of the most legendaries American rock bands, Spirit Before that, he played with such great names like Albert Collins or Delanie & Bonnie This cd, recorded live together with his eleven band members, The Blowin’ Smoke Band, present a good selection of rhythm and blues standards such as Built for Comfort or You Can Have My Husband But Please Don’t Mess With My Man (an old classic I have always loved in Edith Wilson’s version) A special mention to the own compositions, as well as the backing trio vocal arrangements, who sing in some tunes (pay attention to ·Turtle Blues where Cristina Vierra does a terrific performing so powerful as Janis Joplin’s one), and, of course, the four musicians horn section that, together with the rhythm section, give consistance to this excellent mixture of Saturday night non-stop danceable rhythm and blues
