Beki Brindle was discovered by two members of the group The Band when she was lead guitar of legendary bluesman James Yank Rachell At the end of the eighties Beki settled in Ireland after playing at the Guinness Jazz Festival in Cork In Ireland she consolidated a long fruitful career, sharing stage with some U2 members, The Waterboys, some of Thin Lizzy musicians or backing different bluesmen who performed in Ireland like Carey Bell, Johnny Mars, Joe Louis Walker, Fenton Robinson and even Jerry Lee Lewis With this wide experience behind her back which helped her to become quite popular and develop her musical career, Beki started a new project and formed her own band driving us to a musical trip to Chicago, Delta or West Coast blues, together with her original own songs, all them deeply influenced by blues and Americana music Today Beki Brindle has become a mature artist who has been compared with such great guitar players like Robert Fripp, Henry Kaiser, Ray Cooder or Albert King This recording pays the due to a woman who knows how to conquer and reach the most demanding listeners with a bunch of interesting perfectly built songs
