Barrett Anderson started playing guitar when he was only thirteen and discovered his passion for black music and especially blues at fifteen, when he backed Pinetop Perkins and Bob Margolin At sixteen he joined Ronnie Earl’s band playing there for four years and, afterwards, he worked in Monster Mike Welch’s band In 2007 he recorded his first solo album and, since then on, he started a new period leading his own band This album was recorded live at The Fallout Shelter in Norwood, Massachusetts and shows all the energy, passion, originality and creativity this musician communicates to the audience in each and every one of his live performances The recording includes seven original compositions, together with versions of Bo Diddley’s Mona, Magic Sam’s Loockin’ Good, Son House’s Grinnin’ In Your Face and J Geils Band’s Ain’t Nothin’ But A House Party Barrett Anderson on lead vocals and guitar, Charlie Mallet on guitar and vocals, Jamie ‘Black Cat Bone’ Hatch on bass and vocals and Doug MacLeod on drums round up a totally compact well teamed group which will immediately convince all people who are willing to listen to this interesting album
