Guitar player and composer B. Christopher has worked for many years as a session musician, spending most of his time in the recording studios, collaborating with musicians like Nathan East, Anton Fig, Gerald Albright, Shawn Pelton, Michael Powers, Andy Snitzer, Stu Hamm, Kenny Aronoff, Bruce Katz, Studebaker John and Jerry Portnoy. He has also worked for countless television channels making more than 3.000 appearances per year in different shows, programs and series.

All the experience he has gathered over the years has helped him to start his solo career and, although he is still busy working in other projects, he has recorded some solo albums. Now he has released the album “106 Miles To Chicago” which is a tribute to the legendary Blues Brothers, who did so much to popularize blues and soul.

The recording includes seven well known songs all Blues Brothers’ fans know by heart and, those people who were not their fans, have certainly danced many times. Who doesn’t remember hits like “Hey Bartender”, “Everybody Needs Somebody to Love”, “Sweet Home Chicago”, “Gimmie Some Lovin” or “Can’t Turn You Lose” that, once again, will make us dance, this time with B. Christopher Band!

Our man is surrounded by an excellent group of musicians and guests, who have formed a band they call The Elwood Band, where, among others, you will find Eddie Testa on vocals, Bruce Katz on piano, Andy Snitzer, on baritone sax, tenor and horn section director, Tom Malone (Blues Bothers’ band original member) on baritone sax in one song, Anton Fig on drums or Studebaker John on harmonica.

According to B. Christopher, Blues Brothers’ music deeply impressed him and made him discover artists like Elmore James, John Lee Hooker or Matt “Guitar” Murphy. That is why he decided to release an album that becomes “a tribute to a tribute band” as the Blues Brothers were, in order they are remembered by all those who enjoyed their music but also by the new generations of fans.
