German band The Almost Three comes back with an album really difficult to classify, with room enough to collect a wide range of chromatic music that mix funk, 70’s rock and the most actual indie rock In the songs you can even discover some details and flashes that sometimes could remind Jimi Hendrix, Neil Young or George Clinton Recorded live with no overdubs or other studio devices, the album gathers thirteen songs, ten own compositions and three covers Besides Martin Ettrich on guitar and vocals, Max Schmitz on bass and Benny Korn on drums, the trio has counted with the valuable collaboration of two so different musicians like flamenco guitarist Rafael Cortés on guitar and percussion and Joseph Bowie well known as ‘Mr Defunkt’ on trombone and vocals, founder of the popular New York jazz and funk band Defunkt who perform each in one song With this third recording The Almost Three confirm his maturity and versatility, as well as the musical eclecticism they usually give to the music This is an album perfect for the most open mind people
