I personally think this is a deligghtful album, because he gathers the essential and genuine down-home Austin blues performed by four of the most representative roots music artists of that area They belong to the third generation of bluesmen who keep alive the real Texas blues The Texas Northside Kings are Willie Sampson on drums, Jeffery Plummer on bass, Spot Barnett on sax and Earl Gilliam on piano and organ All them have their own bands and regularly play all over around Texas Supporting all these sly fellows some of the most outstanding young white musicians, who are becoming popular for big audiences such as singer and guitar players Johnny Moeller or Nick Curran, although Nick plays harmonica and drums on a couple of cd songs The other musicians are Shawn Pittman, Mike Keller, Eve Monsees and Seth Walker Fourteen splendid blues that gather own compositions together with Magic Sam, Howlin’ Wolf, Elmore James or Willie Dixon & Little Walter versions Hey fellows, you are facing a small treasure that deserves your attention
