As their name says The Texas Bluesboys are a Texan blues band with an amazing powerful sound. Very professional high quality musicians joined their forces to produce this faultless album. Fifteen songs and more than an hour of music performed by excellent efficient musicians. Guitar player Henry ‘Bluesboy’ Hubbard leads the band, where you will also find great singer Gerald Blocker, James Kuykendall on bass, Mickey Bennet on keyboards and his brother Dickie on drums, plus Donald Jennigs on trumpet, Donovan DePriest on saxo and, finally, Salvadore LARocca on harp. A flaming good-rockin’-blues session with a personal own sound and good new ideas that display tons of swing in every song of the fifteen ones they perform. So, can we ask for more? In short, a cd to be taken into account.
