Singer, guitar, bass, piano and trumpet player besides a song writer, Terry Gillespie originally comes from Canada but following his father footsteps, moved to USA when he was a teenager During the sixties Terry was already playing in the dives of Detroit in Michigan, sharing stage with such great names like Howlin ‘Wolf, Buddy Guy, Albert Collins, Junior Wells and John Lee Hooker At the end of that decade, Terry Gillespie returned to Canada, staying for a time in Ontario before travelling to the capital Ottawa As you can easily imagine Terry Gillespie is a musician with a long wide career behind him and he has also recorded several cds under his own name This last one gives us thirteen new compositions, halfway to roots music, folk, ballads, r&b and folksongs, spiced by drops of funk and some groove, to complete his musical background His style can sometimes remember a tasteful mixture of Tom Waitts, Lou Reed and Bob Dylan
