Born in Houston, Texas, singer and piano player Teresa James started very young in the music world, thanks to her father and grandfather, both guitar players in the old tradition. She started to play piano with five years, an instrument she has never given up. Based in Los Angeles, Teresa has recorded with Tommy Castro, Eric Burdon, Spencer Davis, Randy Newman, Neil Diamond, Walter Trout or JP Soars among others, has performed with artists like Levon Helm, Delbert McClinton or Marcia Ball and some of her songs have been recorded by Paul Rodgers, Eric Burdon, Tommy Castro, Marcia Ball or Janiva Magness. Together with her band, The Rhythm Tramps, Teresa moves comfortably along Texas blues, Memphis soul or New Orleans grooves, in a varied repertoire they perform with conviction, good taste, self-confidence and a lot of fun. With twelve albums on her back and several nominations to Blues Music Awards and Grammy Awards, they now publish this twelve song recording for Blue Heart Records, inspired and developed with high doses of optimism and even romantic lyrics although, sometimes, they go deep in topics like redemption, perseverance, strength and joy.
