Only aged five Teresa James already sang and played piano in Houston, Texas where she was born Both his father and grandfather were old-school guitarists who always played old time music Both gave her the passion and love for music Today Teresa lives in Los Angeles and, together with her band The Rhythm Tramps, has become a well-known and strongly consolidated artist and songwriter, who has recorded, performed or composed for artists like Joe Bonamassa, Taj Mahal, Eric Burdon, Bonnie Raitt, Jimmy Vaughan, Tom Jones, Tommy Castro, Marcia Ball or Janiva Magness among many others, because her style and repertoire is eclectic and with no clichés, loosely moving through Texas blues, Memphis soul or the most classic New Orleans grooves This album collects songs from four different shows she performed at Bogie’s in West Lake Village In these four shows the musician varied and only bass player Terry Wilson, guitar player Billy Watts and, of course, Teresa James on vocals and keyboards were present in the four events The result is a vibrant album that serves us to appreciate in all its magnitude the artistic qualities, power and versatility of this excellent artist called Teresa James
