Teresa James and her band The Rhythm Tramps come from Houston, Texas For years they have worked hard to get a name along Los Angeles area, but they have also participated in festivals both in United States and Europe Teresa has shared stage with artists like Levon Helm, Delbert McClinton, Eric Burdon, Marcia Ball or Tommy Castro and she has also put her voice in different recordings by musicians like Randy Newman, Eric Burdon, Bill Medley or Walter Trout This is her ninth studio album, where she wants to share a wide range of musical styles she feels comfortable with, surrounded by her band formed by a bunch of very professional Los Angeles musicians who perfectly know her style and the way she has to display her tasteful vocal qualities Teresa gathers some interesting very precise skills she develops with an immeasurable punch, thanks to a throaty slightly twangy tone, which gives her an special personality and a deep sensuality for the cadence she rolls the vowels Nominated in year 2008 by the Blues Foundation to the Blues Music Awards in Contemporary Blues Female Artist category, since that particular moment Teresa has already become one of the new California blues divas
