Tas Cru decided to record this album after he met grandson of great bluesman T-Model Ford who was only nine years old One night he jumped on the stage where Tas was playing and began to play the tambourine At the end of the show, he asked Tas if he was going to pay him Tas loved this boy and this was the start of a good friendship As a result Tas could meet and talk with T-Model Ford who lived miserably in a half demolished house Together with the club owner and Watermelon Slim, they decided to help Ford, and paid for a caravan where he could live with dignity After a long conversation with T-Model Ford, Tas decided to record this album and dedicate it to all bluesmen like T-Model Ford, who after working hard along their whole lives, have not been able to get enough money to survive in decent conditions The cd shows Tas Cru on top form and probably in the best moment of his career Along twelve songs Cru brings us a million of bright feelings, together with a real emotional sound, perfectly supported by a bunch of very professional musicians with a good knowledge of their technical skills The repertoire has been carefully chosen, covering a wide range of styles with a colourful variety of sound fragrances, which range from country roots blues to modern blues rock, from time to time spiced by barrelhouse, gospel and a touch of groove
