With this new album Tas Cru confirms his reputation of an eclectic artist who can play with reliability both an acoustic solo set or backed by a seven musicians band. Although he usually performs a variety of different blues styles, he often likes to get out of this style and investigate other genres and musical ways that allow him to give free rein to his imagination and musical sensibility. With a repertoire of more than 90 own compositions, Tas Cru usually plays a good number of guitars, from electric to acoustic, resonator or cigar box and, sometimes, he also dares to blow harp and, of course, sing. This new album is a semi-acoustic one with most of the instruments played in a complete unplugged way, where Anne Harris’s fiddle gets a special relevance. An interesting recording with eleven delicious songs that smoothly drive us through delicate musical passages full of poetical strength along the suggestive roads of blues, funk-groove, roots jazz, country-folk, ballads or bluegrass.
