I personally think this album, that includes Tail Dragger’s 1992 recordings, is his best one His first musical period and recordings were really amazing, because Tail plays on a natural cool way, with a powerful straight style Tail Dragger is pure Chicago blues, performed with a warm passion All musicians involved live they music they do with a vital energy, so blues flows with a sincere spontaneity Besides, Tail is backed by some of the best Chicago bluesmen of the 80’s The album oozes a lively heartbreaking atmosphere in each and every one of the ten songs included that were recorded in September 28th 1982, under the favorable supervision of Delmark Records owner, Bob Koester The musicians line-up could not be more attractive: Tail Dragger vocals, Johnny B Moore and Jesse Lee Williams guitars, Eddie ‘Jewtown’ Burks’, harmonica, Willie Kent, bass and Larry Taylor drums plus guest musicians Little Mac Simmons harmonica and Lafayette Leake piano in one song The result is a unique, powerful album, deeply rooted in genuine black blues, which cannot go unnoticed for any Chicago blues lover
