Here comes the last piece of work of this blues singer and guitar player born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana First of all let us say that although Tab Benoit has got the blues deep on his heart, he is a cajun man and cajun were his ancestors which makes cajun music unconsciously appear in his blues Benoit shows good vocal qualities that become evident along his convincing powerful own compositions that will not let indifferent swamp blues lovers Once again Tab is backed by the musicians who usally play with him, such as Carl Dufrene on bass and Darryl White on drums Despite Benoit’s youth, his artistic performing maturity has raised a high musical level, which can be found in this cd, where he carefully combines his own musical style with Boozo Chavis’ or Professor Longhair’s influences, always done with an intelligent tasteful criteria
