Excellent and complete big band which come back with this spectacular album on the hands to, once again, delight us with their pleasant music and swing always easy to savour and listen to This time, Toussaintville is a tribute to the great godfather of New Orleans rhythm and blues Allen Toussaint, as they did in their previous album with 60’s legendary jazzman Duke Pearson Swingadelic give us fifteen splendid good orchestrated songs, with effective bright arrangements where creativity exceeds any other concept The result is really cool, with a very careful sound, full of vitality, energy and a huge and efficient commitment by all the musicians who form this great orchestra called Swingadelic They are Audrey Welber alto sax and clarinet, Paul Carlon tenor and soprano sax, John DiSanto baritone sax, Albert Luesink and Carlos Francis trumpets, Rob Susman, Rob Edwards and Neal Pawley trombones, Bob Reines guitar, John Bauers, piano and organ, Dave Post bass, Jason Pharr and Jimmy Coleman drums, as well as singers John Bauers, Neal Pawley, Queen Esther and Rob Paparozzi An impressive album, with high quality jazz and swing arrangements, together with a good dose of New Orleans funk and groove, that deserves to be enjoyed slowly, at the most suitable unique and special moments
