Susan Santos is a young singer and guitarist with a powerful, rough and full of energy sound. Personally speaking, I think her music is a mixture of Ana Popovic and Susan Tedeschi styles. Santos combines blues and rock (sometimes more rock than blues) with Americana music, and she adds a few drops of funky’n’groove, which gives as a result an easy, honest and friendly music. Anyway, the music of this trio is best enjoyed live, on a show in a small club or venue, although this is a very personal opinion may be some of you do not share. Ten Susan Santos’ original songs, where she is backed by David Fernández, drums and vocals and Héctor Rojo, bass, double bass and vocals. You will also find as special guests Norman Hogue slide trombone on “Love Me Kill Me” and Francisco Simón, guitar on “Hot Sticky Night.” You will also enjoy with the song lyrics that have been included in the cd booklet.
