From Croatia comes Sunnysiders new recording, a group which, as they say, are a totally eclectic band rather than a real blues one.

Winners in 2011 of Croatian Blues Challenge and semifinalists at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, for this last recording they have selected twelve own compositions that tell us about the many problems of actual society and especially about the coronavirus and the way how our world has changed after the pandemic. Their songs do not describe illness, hospitals, vaccines or death, but they talk about us, the survivors, and how our hearts and souls have become more vulnerable, with deep wounds that will be difficult to heal. The world looks as it was before, but people are very different as they were before the nightmare began.

A repertoire of varied songs, sometimes far away from blues but with a very personal touch, performed by this band called Sunnysiders led by Boris Hrepic Hrepa on vocals, acoustic guitar, bass and harmonica and Antonija Vrgoc Rola on vocals and percussion, together with Luka Banic Bane on electric guitar, Tomislav Novak Tomi on double bass and dobro and Mihael Vlah Miha on drums, with the special collaboration of a good number of very professional guests who contribute to round up a curious, interesting and different recording.
