Suit Ty Thurrsty is an eclectic trio, with broad and varied tastes, an amazing ability to communicate with the listener and an exquisite tasteful way to write songs Singer, guitarist, keyboardist and composer Tom Forst ‘The Suit’ performs, along with the other musicians, a mixture of blues, rock, funk, soul and even hip-hop that will impress you by the expressive power and lively communication they reach with a very few ingredients The trio has included other musicians in some of the twelve original songs, like Mike Forst keyboards on two cuts, Kim Burgle trumpet, James Q Mullen sax and the backing voices of Gez Forst, Zayahna Johnson and Gary Youell As rhythm section you will find ‘Ty’ Tyree Pope bass and vocals and ‘Thurrsty’ Peter Johnson percussion and vocals The band presence is quite strange, full of energy but, at the same time, very actual and will hit listeners like a kick in the stomach Although, sometimes, the band work is not very easy to digest, if you were among those people who loved the music of Mothers of Invention, Captain Beefheart or The Fugs, then Suit Ty Thurrsty will fully convince you as they have already done with me
