Sue Foley is one of those singers and guitar players who, during the nineties became well-known in Austin, Texas, specially performing at legendary Antone’s club, where she was able to share stage with amazing musicians like Albert Collins, Kim Wilson and Stevie and Jimmy Vaughan brothers among others. Since there on, her fame has not stop growing, also receiving important awards such Blues Music Awards or Maple Blues Awards in Canada.

Now Sue has come back to Austin, concretely to Continental Club for a live show, the place where the album was recorded, capturing all the magic, energy, passion and dedication she displays in her live shows. I dare say Sue Foley was that night presenting to the audience all the bright qualities I have just mentioned.

Eleven songs of that particular show were selected to round up the recording, including some of the hits he used to play at the beginning of her career, together with impressive versions like “Howlin For My Darlin” coming from Howlin’ Wolf, “Queen Bee” by Slim Harpo or “Me And My Chauffeur Blues” that Memphis Minnie used to perform, plus some new songs.

Sue Foley is on guitar and vocals, Derek O’Brien is also on guitar, Jon Penner is on bass, Corey Keller on drums and Angela Miller and Lauren Cervantes on backing vocals. So, a new Sue Foley’s recording to be tasted and savored.
